It’s important that you are well informed prior to starting your adventure, please take a few minutes to read the following:
Permits:
If you plan to stay in Robson Pass overnight, be sure to already have your camping permit or ACC hut booking with you on the morning of your flight.
Camping spots are available for reservation in advance through the BC Parks Camping website or by calling 1.800.689.9025. If no advance campsites are available, there is a registration/reservation program in place for camping spots through the Mt. Robson Visitor’s Centre on the afternoon before or the day of the flight.
Robson Pass Hut Bookings are available through the Alpine Club of Canada
Locations:
Flights begin at the Valemount base located 3010 Selwyn Road, Valemount. The drop off point is located at N53.165505, W-119.128620. It is an approximately 25 km hike from the drop off location to the Berg Lake Trailhead. Visit the BC Parks website for a hiking map of Mt. Robson.
Important Operational Notes:
All groups will receive a comprehensive orientation and aircraft-specific safety briefing upon arrival at the Valemount base.
All passengers are required to sign liability waivers prior to departure.
A group weigh-in is required before each flight.
Weight Restrictions:
Up to 4 passengers or 1200lbs total including; skis, and multiple small soft bags for easy storage.
Bear Spray:
Please remember that Bear Spray is a dangerous good and you must notify our staff if you are carrying it so it can be safely stored in the helicopter cargo.

WHEN DO YOU FLY?
Due to the nature of our Park Permits, we only fly Monday and Friday into Robson Park.
HOW DO I MAKE CAMP SITE RESERVATIONS?
Camping spots are managed by BC Parks. Contact BC Parks to make camping reservations at BC Parks Camping website or by calling 1.800.689.9025 If no advance campsites are available, there is a registration/reservation program in place for camping spots through the Mt. Robson Visitor’s Centre on the afternoon prior to or day of the flight.
To date, there are no requirements for trail registration for day hikers on the Berg Lake Trail.
Hut reservations are managed by the Alpine Club of Canada. Visit the Alpine Club of Canada website to reserve spots in the Robson Hut.
I’M JUST DAY HIKING, DO I NEED A CAMPING PERMIT?
You do not require any camping permit if you are just day hiking.
WHAT SAFETY THINGS SHOULD I BE AWARE OF?
One of the first things you should expect before your flight with us is a full safety briefing on the helicopter. Your pilot will walk you through safe helicopter practices and procedures. Some of these include how to enter and exit the helicopter and proper baggage storage. They will be happy to help you with any personal needs or questions you may have. Please remember that Bear Spray is a dangerous good and you will need to notify our staff if you are carrying it so we can ensure it is transported safely.
Please remember that Mount Robson Park is a remote backcountry area, you should be ready for strenuous activity in a remote area in order to participate.

HOW LONG DOES THE FLIGHT TO BERG LAKE TRAIL TAKE?
One of the most beautiful and scenic flights anywhere, the flight from Mt. Robson Pit to Robson Pass takes approximately 15 minutes. On your way to Robson Pass, you will fly over Kinney Lake, through Valley of a thousand falls and over top of the Mist and Berg Lake Glaciers.

N53.165505, W-119.128620 approximately 200 m from the Robson Pass Campground and Robson Pass Hut.
ARE THERE ANY WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS?
Up to 4 passengers or 1200lbs total including; skis, and multiple small soft bags for easy storage. A gear surcharge may be applied to cover additional flying, or some gear may not be allowed.
Please inform us if you think you will have extra gear.
AM I ALLOWED TO BRING BEAR SPRAY?
Yes, however you do need to inform our staff that you are carrying it so we can ensure it is transported safely.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
A 7 day cancellation policy applies. If you require a refund within 7 days, a 25% charge will be applied.
There is no charge for cancellations due to bad weather. Usually waiting an hour or two allows conditions to change. No postponing flights to the next day. Because your safety is paramount to us, we will not fly if conditions are not ideal.
WHAT TIMEZONE ARE WE IN?
The Mount Robson Pit is in BC, Pacific Daylight time. It is one hour behind "Jasper time"
