Am I capable of heli skiing?
How can you be sure you are capable of heli skiing? We won't have you jumping off cliffs' that's just in the movies. We will be skiing in the remote back country where the terrain and snow conditions are highly variable. For this reason you should be a strong intermediate skier, capable of skiing blue runs with ease and able to reach the bottom of black runs. If you are still unsure, just email or call and we can customize to suit your groups needs.
How fit do I need to be to heli ski?
Good physical fitness gives you both endurance and protects you from injury, especially for our multi-day heliski guests. It is commonly recommended that you engage in some aerobic activity such as running, cycling, swimming, etc. for 8 weeks prior to your ski trip.
Should I do a helicopter tour or a heli hike?
If you are looking for an option that allows you to sit back and enjoy the ride and be wowed by the view, a helicopter tour such as the Majestic Mount Robson Tour would be your number one choice. If on the other hand you would like to explore some of the B.C. Rocky Mountains, the Ultra Package heli hike would be more your speed.
What type of helicopters do you use?
Our Helicopters are Bell Jetrangers and Longrangers, helicopters suitable for 4 to 6 passengers are used for our summer tours and hiking. With winter comes heliskiing and the larger 12 passenger Bell 205.
Smaller and private groups can enjoy the new Bell 407 helicopter with a capacity of up to six passengers. All Bell helicopters in the fleet are meticulously maintained aircraft for the optimum in safety for our guests.
