What About You
How can you be sure you are capable of heliskiing?
You won’t be jumping off a cliff, that’s just in the movies. We will be skiing in the remote backcountry where the terrain and snow conditions are highly variable. For this reason you should be a strong intermediate to advanced skier, capable of skiing black runs with some degree of control.
Good physical fitness gives you both endurance and protects you from injury. We recommend you engage in some aerobic activity such as running, cycling, swimming etc. for at least 8 weeks prior to your ski trip.
Strength training will help by making you more resistant to fatigue.
